Morva Recruitment is working with a respected building services consultancy in the South West to recruit a Mechanical Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to join a forward-thinking business with a proven track record of delivering exceptional projects.

We’re seeking a degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, ideally with membership of a recognised professional body. You’ll be client-facing, experienced in delivering building services design across a range of project sizes, and confident in supporting and mentoring others.

What we’re looking for:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or building services engineering (or equivalent), meeting the academic requirements for professional engineer status.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering building services designs for both small- and large-scale projects.

  • Strong IT skills, with relevant experience using AutoCAD, NES, Amtech, Revit, Cymap and Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Passion, drive, and determination to progress in your career.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Excellent written and spoken English, with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage budgets, make sound financial decisions, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects on time, providing technical support as required.

  • Monitor budgets in line with client specifications, ensuring projects meet time and cost targets.

  • Liaise with clients and external design teams to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Take responsibility for personal training and professional development.

  • Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards, and legislation.

  • Prepare specifications, drawings, and contract documents to the required technical quality, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Provide mechanical building engineering design for buildings and infrastructure.

  • Identify and manage scope changes in line with change control processes.
