Morva Recruitment is working with a highly respected building services consultancy in Exeter to recruit a Graduate Electrical Building Services Design Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company delivering prestigious construction projects across the South West.

We’re looking for candidates who have recently graduated with a minimum 2:1 BEng or MEng degree in a relevant subject, or who already have 1–2 years of industry experience. You’ll join the company’s structured training programme, designed to help you achieve Chartered status with a recognised engineering institution.

This role offers excellent career progression, hands-on experience with major projects, and a supportive environment where you’ll be mentored by senior engineers.

What we’re looking for:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering (or equivalent) – meeting the academic requirements for professional engineer status.

• Alternatively, sufficient relevant design experience.

• Strong IT skills, with basic knowledge of BIM and relevant design software.

• Passion, drive, and determination to progress your career.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Smart, professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills.

• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing detailed design calculations.

• Providing practical solutions to design challenges.

• Supporting project administration.

• Producing manual and CAD drawings, as well as Revit 3D designs.

• Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.

• Carrying out site surveys.

• Committing to professional qualification goals.

You’ll work in a friendly and collaborative environment, assisting senior engineers in all aspects of electrical design. You’ll be assigned a mentor who will guide your professional development and help you gain exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle.
