Morva Recruitment is working with a highly respected building services consultancy in Exeter to recruit a Graduate Electrical Building Services Design Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company delivering prestigious construction projects across the South West.
We’re looking for candidates who have recently graduated with a minimum 2:1 BEng or MEng degree in a relevant subject, or who already have 1–2 years of industry experience. You’ll join the company’s structured training programme, designed to help you achieve Chartered status with a recognised engineering institution.
This role offers excellent career progression, hands-on experience with major projects, and a supportive environment where you’ll be mentored by senior engineers.
What we’re looking for:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering (or equivalent) – meeting the academic requirements for professional engineer status.

Alternatively, sufficient relevant design experience.

Strong IT skills, with basic knowledge of BIM and relevant design software.

Passion, drive, and determination to progress your career.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Full UK driving licence.

Smart, professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Key responsibilities:

Preparing detailed design calculations.

Providing practical solutions to design challenges.

Supporting project administration.

Producing manual and CAD drawings, as well as Revit 3D designs.

Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.

Carrying out site surveys.

Committing to professional qualification goals.
You’ll work in a friendly and collaborative environment, assisting senior engineers in all aspects of electrical design. You’ll be assigned a mentor who will guide your professional development and help you gain exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle.
